Hi,
I've installed JEvents, using as a component on the main page, somewhere in the middle.
but whatever I select the page is reloaded and bring me back to the top, very frustrating as you can imagine.
I've seen there was a fix in the past, but I want to know how to fix this.
I'm using a template JA_brickstone template from Joomlart. And have joomla 5.1.1

thx, Mike.

Is there a URL I can look at?

If you disable javascript in your browser do you see the same effect?

Hi,
Disabling javascript does not make a difference.
Site is local on my computer, so no external access .
What else can I check ?
regards, Mike.

If this happens then you have javascript disabled then it suggests there is a 'link' of some sort being triggered by the click.

Does the cursor change to a pointer when you hover the mouse before clicking?

If you do a right-click and view the DOM Inspector what sort of element is under the mouse?

Do you see the same effect in different web browsers?

Any chance of putting the site online on a private URL so I can take a look?

Hi,

Does the cursor change to a pointer when you hover the mouse before clicking?
=> yes it does

Do you see the same effect in different web browsers?
=> yes

What exactly you want to see with this DOM Inspector ?
i've included 2 files, one hovering above before I click, and then after the click.

currently not able to upload this site, still under construction
I'll see what I can do.

regards
Mike

The link you are hovering over switches to a weekly view of events. If you click this it should take you to a new page

Is the problem that on your site you need to scroll down quite far on the page to see the calendar and that if you click it you get a new page viewing right at the top where you would prefer to have the page pre-scrolled to the calendar?

Hi,
Yes indeed, each time I need to scroll down, not only for this weekly view, but for any item I click...
it should stay on the calendar not jump to the top of the page.

This type of behaviour would normally be controlled by your template. Is there a setting in the template you can use - it might be called something like 'scroll to content'?
