Same here. My gold subscription endet some weeks ago. Now I read here that you really want me to pay 90$ for this patch? Are there no other possibilities to get this patch? I don´t need new funktions - just a patch to get the rsvp back to work together with joomla 3.7.2.

I also read that you want to evaluate other upgrade option with Geraint. Any news from him?

Downgrade is not an option , using older Joomla there are security risk and I need to re-enter all the events prior to 3.7.
I need the RVSpro patch because only 1 page in all the page I have in the site is returning the error "Cannot assign by reference to overloaded object" , the page which list past and future events for an user .
Now I have only the choice to pay again the FULL software at $90 , which is ALREADY installed and paid $90 , only to patch this .

Thank you for evaluating other upgrade options with Geraint . I'll be more than happy to pay the upgrade patch at cheaper price, but I do not need to pay again the FULL software which is already installed with the support for 1 year (which I do not need).

I've passed this over to Geraint for assessment.

But if you just revert back to the backup you took prior to upgrading to Joomla! 3.7 everything will work as it did. It's certainly not like the Wannacry ransomware in anyway, as upgrading Joomla! is your choice, and you should always backup, update and test. The update the software as needed. Once working set the site live.

You shouldn't upgrade Joomla! If you are not maintaining updates with the components, modules and plugins as these errors will occur.

I already paid $90 for software . Now I need to pay other $90 because I need only an upgrade to fix an issue with Joomla 3.7 .
This is ridicolous. I only need to pay for an upgrade patch not fot the full software , which is already installed!!. I think you should offer us more payment cheaper ways for people which have the software ALREADY installed and working . At this time I already have the software , I do not need support , I need only a patch . Should I pay another $90 for this patch ? This is like a wannacry penalty !

But this is what the yearly support covers. Our on going development to improve and make JEvents and it's components compatible and up to date with Joomla!

Renewing means you can keep up to date and thus problems are fixed and patched quickly.

Without our users continued support JEvents wouldn't exist.

I am in the same situation of Hessie. Is there a way to pay only the upgrade without paying the yearly support which I do not need at this time ?

I am afraid that version of RSVP Pro is not compatible with Joomla! 3.7 you need to upgrade to version 3.4.17.
