Hi,

We are wanting to use the Jevents functionality as part of our project management tool.

1. We have users and project managers logging in to our new site. We want to allow users to use the Jevent calendar to mark when they will be on annual leave. Once they create this event, we need the calendar to create an email notification to the project manager saying a new event has been created.

2. In addition, we want the new event to send an email reminder to the project manager, say a day or two before hand.

3. Is it possible to also turn this feature off in the front end?

Are these possible to do? If so, how do we achieve this?

Thanks

Hello,

1. This is part of the core, so allow them to create events but not publish. Then once created it will notify the category admin if there is one, else it will fall back to the Calendar admin.

2. You can use RSVP Pro and notifications. But it tends to be per usergroup for all events, would the project admin be the category admin?

3. Turn what off on the frontend? Event creation? Is turned on in the front if allowed in the back. But only to the usergroups allowed.

Many thanks
Tony

Thanks Tony for your reply!

Yes the project admin would be the category admin as there will be multiple project managers, which means they will be running their own categories. We also dont want categories to see/be notified by other categories except their own.

In regards to the front end, we mean turning off notifications. Sorry about the confusion.

Thanks
