Hi Everybody,

i have an issue and no idea why.
May it's a functunal bug or someone can help me through.

Even if i go to the Configuration >>> Year/Category/Range View and set the Show Past events to NO,
I can see the past events in the Year/Category/Range View in my Frontend.
I cleaned the cache ect. but the setting it's not working.

Much thanks in advance.

This global setting is overridden in many specific menu item types:
[*] admin.listevents
[*] cat.listevents
[*] year.listevents
[*] month.calendar

It afffects the year list view so if you have a monthly calendar and list events by year and try to go back a year you will find no events.

In the category list view it blocks all historic events.

Its functionality it quite limited

Hello,

This means past repeat events I believe. We would advise the timelimit plugin available to silver members to restrict it back to be more time frame restriction.

Many thanks
Tony

Hi Tony,

thanks for your fast reply.

Just to be on the safe side.
I still would like to have the past events in the monthly calendar, but not in the year/category/range view.
Can the timelimit plugin manage that behavior?

Thanks in advance.

You can configure specific menu items to hide/show events based on a timelimit (e.g. no past events) but not specific 'views'.

You could therefore have a specific month calendar menu item and a separate menu item for category list or year list views. You would need to remember to disable the navigation icons in these menu items so the viitor could not switch views on the same menu item

Thanks again, got it.

And what is finally the purpose for the setting in the Configuration >>> Year/Category/Range View >>> Show Past events (YES/NO)?

Hi,

thanks for your reply.
Still strange that the past event will be shown in the Year/Category/Range View event if the 'Show past event' is set to NO.

Maybe it will be fixed in a future update ;-)

So long, stay healthy.

Best regards
Michael
