After upgrading to Joomla 3.7.2 and JEvents 3.4.39, the styling in the month view has disappeared, and buttons to change the view are not available.
I was using Geraint theme. Changing themes gives the best result with the Default theme, but the buttons are still not available.

After clicking the Support Info link in the JEvents control panel, I received a warning that the max_input_vars setting on PHP was too low (1000), and should be set to 2000 to avoid configuration problems. I had my hosting provider change the setting so the warning went away, but the behaviour of the month view is still broken. I have tried swapping themes with no effect.

Thanks for your help.

Hello Craig,

1. Yes uninstall the install, or just install over. We leave our tables behind incase someone has accidentally uninstalled JEvents.

And that sounds probable.

Thanks, Tony.

I tried upgrading JEvents first, then upgrading Joomla, and the result was worse with script errors on every page.

I have gone back to Joomla 3.6 for the time being.

I'm not sure what you mean by re-installing JEvents. Do you mean to uninstall it first, and then install again? Wouldn't I lose the existing calendar entries?

I'm suspecting it could be a problem with Purity_iii theme on Joomla 3.7.

Craig

Hi Craig,

That's really strange. Since there is no errors trying to load the files. It's like they have just been removed.

Can you please re-install JEvents (Download and install again) Failing that, please use akeeba admin tools to run a permissions fix and see if that helps.

Many thanks
Tony

Hi Tom,

Thanks for your investigation.

I don't have any folder called com_jevents under /templates/purity_iii/html/

I checked on the pre-upgrade backup, and it also doesn't have this folder, but the styles work as shown in my earlier screen shots.

I attached a screen shot of this folder on the server.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Craig

Hello,

It is missing all JEvents CSS. When adding:

?template=protostar

To your link provided, It works. Can you check if you have any folders in: templates/your_template/html/com_jevents/

Many thanks
Tony
