I have used DPCalendar before, but it was recommended I look at JEvents. My question is that I have a Latest Events calendar on our site, but it doesn't look "nice" or modern. Do templates work with the paid version?

I tried changing the theme, but nothing really happens other than a line shows on the left side of the events.

cms.lawsoncardinals.org Here is the page it's on.

The full calendar looks fine, but not sure what I'm missing for the latest events. Sorry, I'm not a developer, so not into CSS and such. Just looking for a simple solution to add a decent calendar from Google Calendar.

I don't want to buy something that won't meet my needs.

Hello,

The Iconic layout has a good latest events module view. What type of view are you looking for for the latest events module?

The club themes are more responsive.

Many thanks
Tony

I'm not really sure on the type of view for Latest Events. Just something that looks decent. And maybe I need to have someone set that up. The regular calendar looks fine, but the Latest Events just looks too plain. It's not in a box or anything. The modules that were there previously let me change "Module Class Suffix" to richbox-2, for example, and it place a box around it with a style, but the JEvents does not.

@ Geraint
I will look at those, but the main calendar is not really my issue, as those are "OK", for the most part. The Lastest Events just doesn't look good.

Here is our current site using a custom CMS system (on the left): lawsoncardinals.org

Here is another site using DPCalendar (scroll down on the right): wpsd.net

Compare those to our current Latest Events: cms.lawsoncardinals.org

The only think I have been able to change is put a line to the left of the Latest Evens calendar, and that doesn't look very good, either. If I knew I could make it look decent, I think the functionality is there. If it's possible without a lot of knowledge of CSS and such, I'm open to purchasing, but me, not being a developer and not have a lot of money to work with, I need something fairly simple to customize.

I think I just noticed the Module Class Suffix was just in a different spot. I think that's all I need for now. We can work on something else going forward, but it looks much better.

If you could still give me some input on changing, that would be great, but we'll probably be purchasing soon.

Hello,

For wpsd.net that is relatively easily replicated with JEvents Latest events module and a custom format string. See:
https://www.jevents.net/frequently-aske ... at-strings

:-), if you need any help with replicating a certain display and it's only CSS / html we can provide a little bit to free users and more to club members.

Many thanks
Tony
