Hi, i am looking for a way to show a list with events that are only on sunday. Not only on one sunday, this list I could select by a specific date, but for all sundays in the next ... years.

Furthermore, it would be really cool if you could select the interval of the list in the same way as when creating a single event.
So monthly, weekly, every fortnight etc.

1. That is an interesting request.

Do you have event that occur on other days?

We may be able to do this with the weekday event plugin (A silver member addon) where you can create a date range menu item that only shows event that occur on a specific day of the week.

2. Are you talking about event creation or more specialised event display options e.g. only showing events that occur every other Sunday??

Hi Geraint,

I'm looking for a special view only showing events that occur on sundays. I have many events that occur on other days.
I will have a look at the plugin, but as the name says, you can't build more complex filters with it? can you?

thx

Hello,

That is very interesting at present it's not possible to only select events occurring on Sundays. That's a tricky scenario... Given that we don't know when all the Sundays occur to select the date ranges to query the DB.

Many thanks
Tony

Hi and thanks for the quick answers.
I am a little confused though. Now that I have looked through your modules again on Geraint's tip, I have found the following: Weekday Event Display Restrictions.
This is 100% the solution for my first request, isn't it?
With this plugin I could display all events on Sundays, couldn't I?

But It would be missing an extended function to display the events e.g. on the first friday of every month, right?

I do not quite understand the problem you see in it? Probably because I am not a programmer. First you have to set a fixed end date, maybe four weeks in the future. This is a parameter in the options in the menu. Just like in the Latest Events module. Then you have a time frame from today to four weeks from now. Next, you calculate all sundays in this period and look at which events occur on these four days and then display them.

I would have assumed that when creating a weekly appointment you would do the same thing but the other way round?
