It appears that one cannot include List by Category with other navigation icons (e.g., List by year. List by Month, etc.). Why is that?

Also, when doing a List by Category, one is then, apparently, "locked in" to just that category when going forward a month, etc. (The category value is tacked onto the end of the URL; e.g., for category 210 one sees /calendar/cat.listevents/2016/09/14/210) even though the category drop-down has vanished. This seems to be likely to cause user confusion as the page now looks like the List by Month page (no category drop-down), but only events for the previously chosen category are presented.

I would like to give my users full control over what they're viewing (limit to a category, limit to a week, month, etc. -- all of the above). What would be the best way to do this?

Hello,

1. You can include the category list within the navigation simply by selecting category in the Navigation icons within the menu item or the component configuration.

2. You can use the JEvents Filter Module to reset on page change, but also to include category filters and so on.

Many thanks
Tony
