I have a webpage where I show the articles in the Category Blog layout, with the built in links to subcategories. By clicking a subcategory in the Article Category Module in position-7 the blog changes to that subcategory. However I would also like the JEvents - Latest Events Module, which is in position-7, to also change to the according subcategory.

I have categories also in Jevents. By manually clicking on one Jevent category, the calendar switches to show just events from that category.

So, I think I need a way to link the Joomla article category to the Jevents category and passing the selected category from the Category Blog to Jevent. Or a way to filter Jevents depending on which category is chosen in the blog layout.

How can this be done? Do I need one of the subscription versions? Which one?

Ahh I see, so you want the latest events module to change to OIF category.

This is not possible out of the box, but what you could do is create a menu item for each Joomla! Category. Then if they are clicked this menu item should be used and assign a latest events module with a filter to this.

Or you could use Advanced Module Manager to display the module depending on the URLS used.

Many thanks
Tony

Thanks! That is what I thought.

And your idea how to solve it indeed works exactly as you describe. So; thanks for an accurate and fast answer!
