Jevents Custom module

I tried to publish Jevents custom module following the basic documentation but it doesn't show nothing.
Please can you help me with a pactical example like:
first:
In the Custom layouts editor of the layout edit the Monthly Calendar Cell layout. For eg.: .......
write down a module identifier in the Custom Module Identifier parameter that will identify your module for eg:: .....
Then edit the JEvents custom module and specify on it the desired module id and give it a position.
I am sure that ther's something more to do because aI can create the monthly calendar in menu but I am not able to publish a custom module with my Detailed MOntly Evens.
Where I am wrong?
