I think there may be a problem with the iCal/Calendar export. After upgrading to 3.2.4 our iCal subscribers are not getting all of the repeat occurrences of an event--they are just getting the last date of the repeated event.

In looking at the calendar data, I see the following for an event that was started several months ago, and ends 21-Dec-2015...

DTSTART;TZID=America/Chicago:20151221T180000
DTEND;TZID=America/Chicago:20151221T193000

Notice that the start value for the calendar entry is the same as the end.

The iCal Export routines have not changed in JEvents 3.2.4 - can you give me the URL to look at?

Sorry, we were having other issues and needed to resolve those first.

I have set up a test URL that is generated form the Export function. This URL has been used in the past to subscribe iCal (Mac) to the Events calendar. Events showed up just fine until recent updates. Now only the very last of the repeating event occurrence shows up in the feed.

The test URL is: http://westsideoptimist.org/events/ical ... ption.html which brings up the Export function to generate the URL. (the original link is /index.php?option=com_jevents&Itemid=1295&lang=en&layout=ical&view=icals)

This generates the following URL:

webcal://westsideoptimist.org/index.php ... abb5&i=826

If you download the ICS file, you will notice that only one event shows up for the repeating event, and it is the last date it is to repeat. In this example, 12/21/2015.

This behavior didn't happen before. Our Mailchimp newsletters stopped working as well (this may or may not be related, but we had our newsletters triggered by upcoming events using an RSS feed...now all of the repeating events are dated on the last occurrence of the event so nothing shows up).

I see it should repeat monthly through to 2 Jan 2016 so will only show one repeat.

The issue appears to the be start date for the event being Dec 2015 and not sometime early in 2013

Do you have the timelimit plugin enabled? If so what dates are blocked in the past and what is the earliest year you allow to be displayed in your calendar in the JEvents config (Tab 1)?

No, I'm not using the timelimit plugin. When I first noticed issues with dates it was the RSS feed dates. I thought maybe I had that restricting dates there...but Mailchimp pulls dates in from the RSS fee and that is different than the iCal view (?assuming).

The event is an old event that was created back in 2013. So I created a new repeating event to see what it would do...I created a new event and it is running just fine (in the iCal subscribe). RSS still has something to do with the view and I think I wrote an override years ago to fix that and on the new site I don't have that so please ignore the RSS stuff). Anyway on my new calendar entry, it is working....take a look at it now.

Also, I didn't post the support info earlier, sorry...

Can you send me login details so I can see how you created the event and the repeat patterns/exceptions etc.
