After installing JEvents 3.2.12 into a fresh Joomla 3.4.1 setup all WYSIWYG editors have been disabled site wide. I can't get any editor to load (TinyMC, CodeMirror, JCE, Acymailing editor) anywhere on my site. Not in the article manager, not in a calendar event. No matter what editor I choose in the Global Config. I get no editor anywhere on my site. Otherwise the site is working fine. But I need my editor back. Anyone else have this issue, and figured out how to restore a graphical editor to the back-end?

Are you logged in? What did you do on the site when this happened? Is there any chance you had toggled the editor from WYSIWYG mode to non-WYSIWYG mode when editing an event by clicking the button that does that? What if you logout and login? Frontend and Backend?

Hi. Thanks for the fast response. I'm trying to think of all the components, modules, plugins I installed. (AcyMailing, JEvents and WidgetKit which is part of the Katana template I'm using from YooTheme)

It had been working fine, and then I went into add an image to an event and the editor didn't load, and the CodeMirror compatibility message started displaying. I did install the JCE editor, to see if I could switch to that as the default editor in Global Config. But it has no effect. No matter what editor I use, it does not load anywhere in the front-end or back-end of the site. I also tried logging out and back in again, no effect. I don't see where the button is within an event to turn off the WYSIWYG editor. Can I provide you with a login so you can take a look?

Hello,

This sounds like you have set an editor on the user's account.

To check this, the editor should load in the articles too.

JEvents cannot disable editors site wide.

Thanks
Tony

Thanks TonyP! So friggin' simple. I never set that as a level User setting. Not even sure how it got set to CodeMirror. But that was it. Once I set my User account editor setting back to "Default" the editor (Global Config set to JCE) loads properly in articles and in events.

Thanks for the help!
