I need a default full month view using the JEvents Module as a Module – not as a direct menu item to JEvents View by Month. Yes, I've seen that I can create a menu item that links to a JEvents View by Month, which gives me the view that I want. However, I'm not able to use a menu item in this instance. I need to place the calendar within an article using the standard Joomla module position methodology.

How do I set the JEvents - Calendar Module to default to a month view? (Again, NOT through a menu)

Hello,

The JEvents mini calendar module loads the current month. It could be re-coded to load a different month.

To change this you would need to write a small content plugin that would instantiate the calendar view class e.g. DefaultModCalView and then call _displayCalendarMod with appropriate startdate.

Note, you can use JEvents custom module positions to write text around a month view if you wanted to do that opposed to loading an article.

Many thanks
Tony
