Hi,
I'm considering JEvents to use as a replacement for my current calendar system, Thyme.
The main feature we use is the automated reminders; so these are emails that are sent out at a specified time before the event, and that setting can be controlled by the administrator.
Can JEvents do this, with the Gold membership addons?
Primarily we need to be able to make a template with some fields from the event which gets auto-emailed (using cronjob) to the user. We want to make sure that the admin can set how far in advance to send the reminder to the user. These events are also repeating throughout the year.

Hello,
JEvents with RSVP Pro can send out notification reminders at 1 interval set within the components configuration so x number of hours before.
At present it set once and only changed by the site administrator, so if you change it it changes for all reminders.
Is that what you are looking for? This addon is available to Gold Club Members.

I'm not sure if this is what we need;
In our current calendar (Thyme) i can add as many reminders to an event as needed, each reminder can be set at any interval prior to the event, and can go to anyone who has access to the event.
I would probably be ok if i could only send 1 reminder; These reminders are for individual appointments, so any given event is only viewable to 1 person, and that person needs to receive a reminder about this appointment anywhere from 24 - 48 hours before the event.

Hello,
This does allow setting the reminder interval of say 48 or 24 hours. But we do not have a manual reminder process on event creation.
The user add's them self to the reminders.
We do have a global option to automatically send reminders to a specific usergroup..
