Hello,

I am using JEvents v3.4.48 on Joomla 3.8.13 version. My event notification plugin, cron job etc. are all set up correctly. I am able to receive emails through my SMTP. Until recently event notifications were sent out to members in a timely fashion. I haven't changed any options but, now member invites (specifically to the admin) are not going out. Is there a way to test this further? Has there been an update for Joomla 3.8 I'm unaware of? Please advise.

Hello Tony,

Thank you for investigating the email notification issue. I did receive your test email and it appears the script is working as well. I'll have to wait and see if the event notifications start to send out.

The second problem I'm having with the site still persists. add currently, I am unable to add an event on the calendar at the front end or edit an existing post. The fatal error I receive is: Fatal error: Class 'JToolbarHelper' not found in /home/womenabo/public_html/cms/wab2.5/components/com_jevents/views/icalevent/view.html.php on line 60
(when attempting to edit a post)

or

Fatal error: Class 'JToolbarHelper' not found in /home/womenabo/public_html/cms/wab2.5/components/com_jevents/views/icalevent/view.html.php on line 66
(when trying to add a new event to the calendar)

As I mentioned in my previous post, I've already updated Jevent for the fix, to no avail.
Do you think you could shed some light on this problem?

Thanks for that, can you try now?

You have an @me.com email set for RSVP Pro and no sender in JEvents. I've set them both to your smtp email since you cannot send via SMTP on behalf of another domain i.e. @me.com

Many thanks
Tony

Hello Tony,

I recently upgraded my subscription to Silver. 1) I've checked Joomla Mail function, as you suggested and there doesn't seem to be anything unusual happening there. I'm hoping you can take a look at the email notification settings from the back-end now.

2) Unfortunately, there seems to be another issue I'm experiencing for the first time at the front end. When trying to add an event to the calendar I get this error message, Fatal error: Class 'JToolbarHelper' not found in /home/womenabo/public_html/cms/wab2.5/components/com_jevents/views/icalevent/view.html.php on line 66.
I checked the forum first to help resolve this issue and found the solution is a fix included in the latest version, jevents34_3.4.49.
However, the latest install did not resolve the problem for me.

I've been using Jevent for years without incident but, I need some help with these 2 issues.

Hello Ashley,

From a JEvents point of view there isn't anything wrong and nothing has changed. For onsite support we only provide that to our silver members whereby we can look at your site and debug why they are not going out.

I suspect it is down to the configuration of your Joomla! Mail installation/who they are sending from in JEvents.

Many thanks
Tony

Hello,

It's been some time since I first contacted support regarding the issue with event notifications not going out.
The email notifications are still not sending
I hope that you're still willing to help as I have included the information needed to log in to the backend of our site.

Hello,

Nothing in 3.8 should have broken notifications being sent. Can you please login using your club account for club support and provide super user logins and we will take a further look for you.

Many thanks
Tony
