Hi,

Using jevents for a while for our website and are quite happy with it. Since a few weeks however it isn't possible anymore to create new events. As soon as we try to save a new events a duplicate entry error pos up.

Duplicate entry '330' for key 'PRIMARY'

Tried everything including an uninstall but nothing seems to work. Any ideas on how to solve this?

Thank you in advance.

Hello Peter,

I have fixed this for you on your site now. I suspect your host had a crash and restored some tables but leaving the old auto-incremental value behind, I've increased this now and all is well.

Many thanks
Tony

Hello,

You need to increase the Auto incremental value see:

thank you, this was not the problem - but with your help i found the solution:
i fount it in the table _repetition, there i changed next number AUTO_INCREMENT
and it works

Basically the auto incremental value needs increasing on the table in question. But why this has happened is usually down to a crashed database for example.

Hello,

I just increase the autoincremental value to a higher number than what it was trying to assign..

Many thanks
Tony

I'm experiencing this issue, but do not have authority to give out DB usernames and passwords at the moment, can you explain what needs to be done to remedy it, it sounds fairly simple?
Many thanks

Yes, all seems well now.

Can you tell me what you did in case I get stuck again (we use JEvents on a TON of sites)? I'm pretty good with phpmyadmin. Thanks!
