Hi,

I have version 3.4.47 of JEvents up and running and noticed today that the multi-day span of eg. the easter holidays is not working anymore. During the Silver Membership, I had this up and running. I'm using Ruthin, already cleared the cache, but when I plan a holidays period from 8/4 until 22/4, I want 1 event that spans the full period. I'm now having 15 single events. This has worked in the past, so therefore my question whether I have to keep a valid Silver Member subscription to keep this feature alive for the calendar of our school.

Thanks,
Mario

Hello Mario,

No they certainly do not stop working we have no control over what happens on your site once it is installed.

It sounds like 'Ruthin' is not currently in use? All club themes have the multiday event spanning.

However, if the event is a repeating event these are shown on each day.

Many thanks
Tony

Hi Tony,

I had another look: Ruthin is for sure selected in the JEvents configuration. However, when I change the template to another one and clear the cache, I do not see a difference in the way the calendar looks like.

The event (Easter holidays) has start date 8/4 and end date 22/4/2019 (no times set)
The setting to display a multi-day event on each day is set to no and there's no repetition scheme set.
This results in 1 event on the first day of the event (have a look to the URL which points to April 2019).

When I change the setting for the display of multi-day events on each day to yes, I end up with a 15 events, one on each day of the period. Have a look at Feb 2019 where you see an event for each day of the "Krokusvakantie".

As a test, I verified the settings of the summer holidays, which I know were 100% correct to display the vacation period as a single event, multi-spanning the entire Juli and August 2018 months and I don't see a difference in regards to the settings, but I also see that the multi-span has disappeared over there...

I'm not sure what has happened or what is going on...
I also notice other small details that changed (eg. in the calendar module in the footer, only day and event was listed - yesterday also start and end time appeared (which I already changed)).

Do you have any ideas where to look at ?

Thanks,
Mario

Hello,

That view is using the free ext theme. You need to change it to use your Ruthin theme, make sure to check your menu item and your JEvents config as to which is in use.

Many thanks
Tony

Hi Tony,

I missed the settings in the menu item and indeed they were set to the ext-theme.
I've changed it to ext-plus and voila - the view is back !

Thanks - I appreciate the help.

Cheers,
Mario
