I don’t know what happened. I am developing a new site run locally. I set up JEvents yesterday and all was working well and I was pleased and happy. The extension did what I wanted. Thank you.

I had installed from a download a couple of months ago when I had downloaded all the extensions I was interested in.

There was an update and I updated to 3.4.5 after I had jJEvents set up and working.

All set, I moved onto the next thing on the list and I then installed JCE as an editor, as my content is all written and I am putting it on the site.

Late today I noticed that the JEvents Detail pages are no longer working. The events are still listed on the Upcoming Events and highlighted on their Calendar dates as they should be. So the events are there, yet clicking on the Upcoming link or the Calendar date returns with a 404 error page Can’t be found?

I reinstalled JEvents and also deactivated JCE, but this didn’t resolve the issue.

I then added new events to test, but they also get a 404.

I searched the Forum and documentation, but can’t find a reason for my issue.

Thank you.

Hello,

This sounds like you have possibly enabled Joomla! SEF links without setting up your .htaccess file. Is that possible?

Many thanks
Tony

This is interesting, it sounds like your month view might be loading default them at the same time? Is that possible? What about using flat for the month views too?

Thank you Tony!

Now that the content is 98% done, I have been working down a list setting up the extensions. I don't even remember doing this.

There is one additional strange thing. I have the layout for the JEvents Module set for Flat. When viewing the Event List by Day, Week, Year, or Jump to Month, the Module in the sidebar shows in Flat, but in the Monthly view, the Module shows in Default?

I have looked at the code to see what is different, but they look the same?

Thank you again.
