Hi, i'm a newbie (Sorry for this)

We like to use JEvents (Gold Member) for sport event inscriptions and i wasted now more than 3 days to found a solution, looking demos and reading Forums.

the event manager can open at the frontend a new sport event also for several days
the event manager can select the basical art of sport. example: Running, Motocross, Swimming and so far...
the manager can open categories for the decided art of sport, day , number of athlets (Atandees) and price. example Running: "Friday 09:00, 5 km" "Friday: 12:00 10 km" "Saturday 08:00 Sprint 100m" and so far...
the event manager can also open fields with several criteria like age, gender, etc.

Can anybody tell me how it's possible to realize and set me to the right way?

Thank you very much in advance for any help

Hello Chris,

Sorry I'm not quite following? Are you wanting to place one event into multiple categories? IF so you can do that if you go to:

JEvents Configuration -> Event Editing -> Enable multi-category events

And set to yes.

Then your manager can select additional categories.

For custom fields you can use the custom fields plugin.

But for event registration where you capture users details for registrations you would use RSVP Pro and create an RSVP Pro Template, the template houses the fields and from here you can do as you need to do.

Many thanks
Tony

Tony, thank you for your support!

it's not exactly what i need!
I openend some categories as art of sport. I opened the categories Running, Ski, Motocross, Cycling and Equestre Show Jumping etc.
The event manager can now open a Running-, Motocross, Cycling, Ski or Equestre-Event.
What i like to have is: the manager open a event and select the art of sport. then he can open several runs with a button "Add new run"
when he selected the art of sport = Running, then he can open runs with the criteria like: age, gender, lengt of run etc.
when he selected the art of sport = Motocross, then he can open runs with the criteria like: age, gender, force of engine, team etc.
when he selected the art of sport = Showjumping, then he can open runs with the criteria like: age, age of horse, gender of horse, Cup points, team etc.
each run have also max. of atandees and the price.

a other example:
the event manager can open a event with categories: Computer, Travelling, Langagues etc
then the event manager can open "Add new Course"
when he select category = Computer, then he can open a course with the criteria like: art of computer course, age, price, etc.
when he select category = Traveling, then he can open a course with the criteria like: Continent, age, gender, only for Africans, price, etc.
when he select category = Langague, then he can open a course with the criteria like: Langague, age, gender, level, price etc.

I hope to be more clear now and hope of your solution
in advance thank you very much for helping me!

Hi Chris,

So the so you would need to create an event for Computer, and event for Traveling and event for Langauge and have thoses fields.

If you are wanting registrations and actually theses are selection opposed to categories that could work with RSVP Pro.

Many thanks

Tony many thanks for your help

by the way RSVP Pro is installed. your suggestions are also implemented.
The event manager choose the category "Computer", title "First steps with Computers" date: 5.11.2019
1. "Learning the Basics of my Computer", time 11:00, only for man, age 18 to 25, 30 atendees, 30 USD
2. "Learning HTML for my first Website", time 13:00, for man and woman, age 50 to 70, 20 atendees, 28 USD
3. "First steps with Microsoft Word", time 13:00, for woman, age 0 to 99, 25 atendees, 32 USD
and so far...

How i have to make the template for the event manager for these steps?

Thank you very much for your help!

best regards

Chris
