I am having a problem with JEvents 3.4.33 installed at: http://standrewsgrimsby.com/

When attempting to edit a calendar event from the frontend, the "Manage Event" window only appears for a fraction of a second. So I can't edit events from the frontend. From reading the forum, it sounds like a conflict with MooTools or Bootstrap.

Is there a solution I can apply?

Hello,

Can you try it with the default Joomla! Template. Does it then work?

Many thanks
Tony

Yes, I can edit calendar events when I use the default template.

So yes it sounds like a conflict from the Offical Joomla! Library and your template.

Can you contact your template provider to look into this? Since templates should be compatible with the Joomla! Core Library.

Many thanks
Tony

Thanks for the response. My other option is to use the default template just for the calendar.

Some people do that, but it's not ideal. Your template should be compatible with the core.

You could also disable editing events in the popup?

Many thanks
Tony

Editing in pop-up is disabled, but still the pop-up appears for a fraction of a second.

I think I'll use the default for the calendar and make it look like the template I'm using. It would be expensive to go back to the company that I purchased the template from to fix this.

I have exactly the same problem... it has only appeared recently. It worked fine before. Changing the template would be a disaster so I need to find a way to fix this.

There are no errors in the developer console, so I'm not sure what I could tell the template provider. (Who I'm sure will assume/claimit is a jEvents problem without more information)

Can you give me/us any information about where to look?

I've added the site details in case you need them!

Update:
In my case it looks like a separate plugin was causing the problem (JS_social_slider). Removing this from the jEvents pages seems to have resolved the issue. The slightly concerning thing is the lack of any errors, which were presumable some kind of jQuery collision/conflict.

Hope this is useful for anyone else who encounters the problem.

It sounds like they are not loading the native Joomla! jQuery library :-(. Glad you found the culprit.
