Import JomSocial Events into JEvents

It is now possible to import user created events from JomSocial into JEvents and keep these updated with changes made at a later date in JomSocial.

  1. Install and configure the JEvents JomSocial Activity Streams plugin from the silver member downloads area
  2. Remember to enable importing JomSocial events into JEvents AND enable the plugin
  3. Create a new calendar in the backend of JEvents to import from URL and enable anonymous refreshing/updating of this calendar
  4. Set the URL to http://www.yourdomain.com/plugins/jevents/jevjsstream/jomsocial/importevents.php if you are using Joomla 1.6/1.7/2.5 or  http://www.yourdomain.com/plugins/jevents/jomsocial/importevents.php is using Joomla 1.5.
  5. Setup a cronjob to keep the JEvents calendar up to date

Now your JomSocial events will be imported into JEvents and kept up to date.
