This is an event that occurs every weekday  (i.e. not at the weekends).

On the otherhand if you want an event that lasts from Monday to Friday every week you'd enter it differently.

Note that in most of the JEvents layouts these 2 events might look the same but remember the first gives you 5 daily events where the second gives you 1 Five day event.  The distinction is obvious when you use the Ruthin layout.
