We upgraded our site several months ago and have lost the ability to edit events in the frontend.
When clicking the edit icon (the pencil) the page goes gray but no edit pop-up menu is displayed.

All software is current (Joomla 3.9.6, PHP 7.2.7, MYSQL 8.0.15, IIS and WIndows Server 2016).
Jevents is at 3.4.50

The problem has existed since we upgraded to Windows Server 2016 and added SSL. We upgraded all major components to ensure compatibility.

The main calendar is accessed via:
https://www.ssyc.org/for-members/calendar/month.calendar/2019/06/10/-

An example of editing an event is:
https://www.ssyc.org/for-members/calendar/icalrepeat.detail/2019/06/17/14267/-/jr-sailing-starts

I have established a Super User account for you (JEVadmin) with a password of JEV53208

We are using the Joomlashine JSN Megazine2 Pro template. The problem exists is I assign a different template (JSN Epic2) for that page. However, the problem goes away if I use the Joomla Modulix template for the page.

How do we resolve the issue of compatibility between the Joomlashine templates and Jevents?

Thanks,
Dave W

Your site is using a non-standard modal library called simplemodal - instead of the standard Joomla one at media/system/js/modal.js

I think you can resolve this by creating template overrides for components/com_jevents/views/default/helpers/defaulteventmanagementdialog.php (copy to templates/YOURTEMPLATE/html/com_jevents/helpers/defaulteventmanagementdialog.php) and remove the word 'fade' at line 10 do the same with defaulteventicaldialog.php

Just an update...

I created a new main menu entry called Calendar - test (under For Members in the menu). I installed a different template from a different vendor (jd-seattle template) from Joomdev and assigned it to just this one page. This new page is restricted to super users.

I have only done enough customization to make the page functional.

It has the same edit issue as my general use calendar page. That is, when I attempt to edit an event, the component section of the page get's gray-ed out, and no edit popup appears.

Finally, for security, I changed the password for the ID I created for you. It is in the site details section of this entry.
