I'm hoping you can help with an issue I am experiencing.
A website (http://www.brayrunners.com) I've been asked to support is currently running on Joomla 2.5.27. I wish to update to Joomla 2.5.28 and then onwards to 3.X. Joomla is not something I have much experience of.
In preparation for the upgrade, I've deleted the JEvents component version 3.1.32 as it is not compatible with Joomla 3.X (this may have been a bad idea).
Unfortunately when I attempted to carry out the upgrade, I receive an error in Joomla stating that my host does not support the minimum requirements for 2.5.28. Until this is resolved by the host, I will have to remain on Joomla 2.5.27
Now that I have removed JEvents 3.1.32, the website returns the error "JEV_LATEST_NEEDS_COMPONENT".
Do I need to reinstall JEvents 3.1.32? If so, can it be supplied as a temporary measure until I move to Joomla 3.X?
3.4 and 3.6 are not compatible with Joomla 2.5.27 and error when I attempt to install.
Any help greatly appreciated

Hello,
If you stick with the 3.2 version it should still work and just disable any plugins which are non-core and then upgrade, once the upgrade is done, upgrade all plugins too :-)
