multilanguage with j3 & gantry

Interesting idea...

You could use the Calendar Specific Menu / Modules.

Have the calendars created and then restrict them to a certain menu? Have a different menu item per calendar which you would need to anyhow. The only issue I see is creating events, i.e. the even creators would need to select the calendar the event belongs to.

If you use language specific categories then you will naturally get language specific events on your site.

thanks a lot to both of you i have originally played around with geraint idea as i have the language categories set up in jooma3/gantry category and menu system so it would just be the same setup in JEvents but I might easily later on play with multiple calendars ... do you happen to know if JEvent after geraints model would automatically choose the right language file (standard, UK, danish, german) according to the site setup chen chose from a specific language page ? yours nbjerre

JEvents uses the language selected by Joomla automatically.

Firt off, thank you very much for this really good Piece of Software.

I assigned different appointments to the languages DE and EN. Furthermore I created one calendar, which is only accessible through a menu in German language and one in English language. Everything Looks fine, e.g. "http://.../de/informationen-zu-seminaren/seminarkalender.html"; and "http://.../de/informationen-zu-seminaren/seminarkalender/eventeinzelheiten/133/-/test-vl.html";; except when editing an Event in German language: When clicking Save/Cancel, it tries to Forward to the EN appointment, which doesn't exist of course (different calendar) and the Editor gets to see "404 - Category not found

I noticed the URL Switched to "http://.../en/informationen-zu-seminaren/seminarkalender.html"

How can I solve this urgent issue?

The above mentioned error message appears when trying to "cancel" the Event edit.

When trying to save it, this message appears: 403 - You are not authorised to view this resource/perform this task.

What language switcher are you using? Are you setting cookies for the language setting?

Did you configure your menu items to show the english categories on the english menu item and vice versa?
