Is the free version really limited to 4 catagories. I cannot create any more and yet I can't fid anything in the info about it?

Is the free version limited to 3 categories? I can create more in the backend dashboard but they do not appear in the front end 'Select one or more categories' edit box. I can't find anything in the info about it it being restricted to 3?
No restrictions like this in the code - check your menu item constraints, you may have selected only specific categories
