Hi - I'm using Jevents version 3.4.48 which I believe is the current one.

My issue is that when I am using the back end to create a new event using either Chrome or the Samsung Browser on my Android tablet (Samsung Tab A 10.5) I am unable to complete the task as I cannot select any of the items from the drop down list of categories.
I really don't know if this is a Jevents problem, a Samsung problem, an Android problem or a Joomla core problem but it means that when I am on holiday I have to lug a laptop with me instead of taking just my tablet! Is there anything you can do to point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Bill
P.S. I have a horrible feeling that I've raised this issue with you before but I can't locate the post so my apologies if I have!

Tony,
I think that I've proved that it is NOT a Jevents problem!
I have a Samsung phone (S7) and a Samsung tablet (Tab A 10.5). I use Chrome on both devices (same version). The phone runs on Android 8.0.0 and the tablet runs on Android 8.1.0
The problem exhibits itself on the tablet but NOT ON THE PHONE!
Hence by my simplistic logic it's a problem associated with Android 8.1.0 - OK I know it could be a myriad of other things but now I have a workaround so I'm happy!
Thanks for your interest.
regards,
Bill

Tony,
Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, I can see the drop down list and all the categories are displayed. The problem is that I am unable to select any of them i.e. when I touch any of the items in the list they are not selected! If I try and save the rest of the details on the event I get told that the category must be selected!
Everything works fine in Windows but I have this issue when using Android.

Hello Bill,

That does sound strange actually. Why can't you select any? Do you see the select list and categories when you select it?

Many thanks
Tony
