Sorry for maybe a stupid question but I do not have the time anymore to find things out by myself. Time is money and our customer isn't paying us for reading the docs.

I set my events to manually approve. I signed up and got an mail "I am registered" and my attendance status is "waiting". If I confirm myself in the backend, I am getting no e-mail on any approval changes. Is this wanted? How can I let the attandees know, that they are (un-)confirmed for attending?

Hello,

No problem at all. Confirming yourself will not trigger an email.

Try a test user say:

yourmail+test@domain.com

or just another valid email.

Many thanks
Tony

Found it out. Stupid me did not activated the mails in configuration.

Antoher few similar Question:

  1. If I click on the green tick inside the attandeelist, the blue ? appears. Is there a mail for this and more important, is it possible to switch back to approved (green tick) without unapprove (red X) before? An email is sent due to unnaproval and this is confusing the attandee.
  2. If I have an attandee waiting for approval, how can I disapprove him without having to click trough the icons? Why are there no buttons, with which I can mark n attandes and set the status directly?

No problem!

1. Not at present, we would advise not click this if the attendee is ticked. There is a standard workflow to it's use which you have described.

2. The status is usually automated and no need for manual intervention but clicking the icon to approve them. So you would like a status select within the attendee edit?

Many thanks
Tony

2. That would be great. Our customer wants to select an (or multiple) attandee and click "approve" or "disapprove".

Can I check what you are looking for is to change the attendance state (do they intend to attend, maybe attend, not attend or still own money) as opposed to the waiting state or confirmation state (whether they are allowed to attend the event). Or are you wanting to change all these settings for batches of attendees?

Not sure I understand you. Let's make an example:
We have 10 attandees signed up for an event. We want to approve some of them and others not. Currently we would click on the green tick inside the parenthesis. For the ones we want to approve, everything is fine. They get a mail with approval.

Now we want to disapprove the others. We cannot do this without clicking on the green tick and again on the blue q-mark. This is annyoing. The attandees have to know if they are approved or not.

An now think big. What if we have an attandeelist with > 100 entries? Approve or disapprove them one by one is very tedious. So here come the buttons (or whatever) where I can click and instantly approve, disaprove or whatever I can set. After I checked the checkboxes of the attandes I want to set ofcourse.

Ok - What I have implemented for the next big release of RSVP Pro is the option to click the checkboxes on as many 'attendees' as you want and a drop down at the top of the page to change attend status - you can choose 'yes', 'no' or 'maybe' and they would all be changed in one pass.

That does what you need I think?

Sounds nice. So if I have attandees I want to approve, I can mark the checkboxes and click approve. And if I want to disapprove them, I can click disapprove? But they still have to get an email.

I'll try to get a pre-release build out today but I'm a bit constrained by the fact that my main workstation/development machine has died and I am working on my laptop, pending the arrival of a new machine (hopefully on Friday)
