Just tried installing jEvents 3.4.36 but received this warning message:
Error loading component: com_jevents, Component not found.
Installation of the package was successful.
When I click on Configuration, I get a 404 error - an Error has occurred: Component not Found. Return to Control Panel.

Hello,
Is JEvents published in the backend? Check in manage under extension manager.
If it is and it's still not working, uninstall it and reinstall it. All data stays intact.
