Hello,

The JEvents is a really cool product, and I am grateful for the extension.

I recently installed the free Admin Tools extension, and activated the htaccess file feature for password-protected access to the /administrator/ folder. Afterwards, I noticed that as a guest user whenever I click on the calendar menu item to bring up the Jevents compontents, I would get prompted for the access password to the /administrator/ directory, and after selecting the 'cancel' option then the calendar would load normally.

I removed the htaccess files within the admin folder, and the Jevents behaves fine.

I'm wondering why the Jevents component was prompting for access to the admin folder in the first place, and if I had configured something incorrectly. All the linked images associated with the Jevents are not in that folder.

Regards,
David

Hello David,

JEvents uses certain files from the Administration Area. This was needed in Joomla 1.5. So we have created an article here:

http://www.jevents.net/jevents-15-topme ... -interface

Explaining a work around.

We will be in the next month reviewing this and stopping the use of back-end images/css.

Regards
Tony

Hello,

Have you tried JEvents 3.0.9? I implemented some location changes, but haven't yet tested with admin tools and locked backend.

I'm using JEvents 3.0.9 and now it doesn't work

Before it was correct !

The present version : joomla 2.59, JEvents 3.0.9, Admin Tools Core 2.5.3

When I'm looking for a detail, the "admin tools" pop up appears (to ask for authentification) ; I depress on cancel button and it works !

If you would any aditionnal information about my configuration, you should ask me ... :)

Hello,

I have just checked and the fix will be in JEvents 3.0.10.

I have already implemented it, I just thought it was in Version 3.0.9.
