JEvents 1.5 (No longer actively supported)

url database feild  Topic is solved

JEvents 2.0 was launched over 2 years ago and the latest stable version is version 2.2 which will run on Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. JEvents 1.5 is therefore no longer actively supported - you should upgrade to JEvents 2.2+ as soon as possible.

I am using Jevents 2.1.16 and I have a easy question. Well easy for someone I'm sure, why is my URL data field empty in my database.

More specifically when I add an event it goes to jos_jevents_vevdetail and in this database table there are 30 columns one of them is URL but its empty.... why?

I'm ventuing a guess that this might be a feature for upgraded users, either way if this was populated am I correct in guessing that the URL would direct to this events detail page?

I want a variable that I can stick into my href anchor and make some html text link to the event.

Thanks in advance.

URL is a field in the ical specs which we didn't implement in the editor. In JEvents you can put a URL in the contact field or extra info and it will convert to a link.

If you import an ics file with values for the URL field they will be imported and used.
