JEvents 2.0 was launched over 2 years ago and the latest stable version is version 2.2 which will run on Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. JEvents 1.5 is therefore no longer actively supported - you should upgrade to JEvents 2.2+ as soon as possible.

I have just installed com_jevents_1.5.3 in my Joomla! 1.5 site and had good success except for adjusting the layout of the mod_jevents_cal (mini-calendar) to look like your demo site.

On your demo site, the mod_jevents_cal (mini-calendar) on the Front Page shows dates in the month inside nice little boxes (color coded if event occurs on those dates) or with just the date (depending on which layout is selected). My site's dates are each underlined as if they were text links in an article.

How do I remove the underlines from the date links? Of course, I do want them to be links to events, just not underlined.

Best regards!

This is probably your template stylesheet overriding the style from JEvents. Try using firebug for firefox to see where the style is coming from.

Also make sure you select the module option to use the JEvents stylesheet.

Geraint, Thanks to you I found my "template.css" and changed the text-decoration from "underlined" to "none" and that was successful!

As an aside, I wasn't able to find a "JEvents Stylesheet" option in the mod_jevents_cal module per your suggestion, though. What is it named and where is it exactly?

Thank you Geraint for creating JEvents, which is a WONDERFUL module/extension/component and does everything so very well!!!

For the future - It would be great to have many different calendar layouts to choose from, maybe a nice project for those talented and creative developers. I'd personally like a nice rich woodgrain calendar layout.

Best regards!

Can't seem to remove underlines either from latest events. All the text-decorations in template.css show none.
in modstyle.css, at line 125, I added it there, but nothing.
please advice.

Hello crosswire,

You will want to inspect the latest events link with firebug and it will show the underline in the right hand column.

Make sure you add the altered css to your template.css file in the following format:

a {
text-decoration: none !important;
}

Also, i didnt want to create another thread, but I can't change the styles for the date and time for an event in the article. I can change the font for title and content of event, but not date and time

Hello,

For the latest events module please see:

http://www.jevents.net/en/jevents-15-to ... nts-module

For the event detail page, then you will want to customise the Event Detail Layout default (remove event summary and include what you wish). Make sure you enable it afterwards.

For list views etc, then that is more complex and requires a layout over ride..

See:
http://www.jevents.net/en/jevents-15-to ... jevents-15

Regards
Tony
