I'm running Joomla 3.x with JEvents 3.x and would like to have a tooltip display the scheduled events when a day on the mini calander is hoovered over, similar to the one shown here:

Image.

I've read and tried to implement the desired tooptip per the instructions/sample files provided at http://www.jevents.net/jevents-15-topme ... dar-module, but it doesn't work for me. I'm using the iconic layout.

With the iconic/calendar.php file included with the sample files copied to templates\myTemplate\html\com_jevents\iconic\month all that I get is a blank area where the calendar should appear. I also get the following error reported by Firefox, 'NetworkError: 403 Forbidden - http://localhost/templates/anzeigerbern ... black.png'.

Please remove the reference to that image in the catbar.css file - it should not be there.

I've removed the reference to the image so I'm no longer getting the network error, but I'm still getting a blank area, instead of a calendar when I replace the calendar.php file.

No, but here is a screen shot.

Also here's a copy of the calendar.php file
Code: Select all
<?php

defined('_JEXEC') or die('Restricted access');

$this->_header();
$this->_showNavTableBar();

echo $this->loadTemplate("body");
echo $this->loadTemplate("map");

$this->_viewNavAdminPanel();

$this->_footer();
that is being replaced in my override directory at templates\ja_mero\html\com_jevents\iconic\month with the one contained in the mod_jevents_cal_tooltips_2.0.zip (mod_jevents_cal_tooltips_2.0\iconic.

The two calendar.php files are very different to me so I would like to verify that I'm replacing the correct one with it's correct replacement.

Hello,

I don't see any mini calendar in the above?

You are definitely not doing a mini calendar over ride correctly, you are applying it to the JEvents monthly view?

Which should be in:

/template/your template/html/mod_jevents_latest/iconic/

Regards
Tony

Okay, then how do I do it? I've set up a mini cal module to show on the homepage as shown in the below image.

With it working on the page, it's set to use the extplus layout so I copied the calendar.php file from the mod_jevents_cal_tooltips2.0.zip\extplus to templates\mytemplate\html\mod_jevents_cal\extplus. It than fails giving me a '500 Internal Server Error' error.

It also fails, with the same error if I replace the calendar.php file in modules\mod_jevents_cal\tmpl\extplus.

Hello,

Can you enabled maximum error reporting in Joomla! to get a more detailed 500 error?

the problem is that the sample files for the calendar tooltips have not been tested for Joomla 3.0 - please try new version which I have uploaded to http://www.jevents.net/downloads/catego ... mple-files

Also for the dynamic category bar you should use this module instead of the template override - http://www.jevents.net/downloads/catego ... ory-legend

I've downloaded and installed the new, ver 3 calendar.php, but it's still not working. I've tried to attach the error file, since it's to large to include, but can't find a format acceptable. I'ver tried .txt, .ini and .pdf.
