If I set the Date-String without parameters "${eventDate}<br />${title}" the output gives German Days of Week, but american sequence: "Di Apr 02, 2013 @19:30".
As soon as I try to format the output like "${eventDate(D, d.m.y)}<br />${title}" the day of week changes to english: "Tue, 02.04.13".
I checked the constants with the Language Override Tool, they are ok.
Thanks for a solution to my problem

Use the strftime format options instead (i.e. the ones with % in them e.g. %Y-%m-%d etc).
