Hi

I installed JEvents but I can't make an event because no category can be selected. I have all rights as super user, enable user authorisation is set to NO. I made just two catogeries. In the user information screen, both categories appear correctly.
How can I make the categories visible?

Are you creating this event in the backend of Joomla?

Please upgrade to JEvents 3.0.9 - if this doesn't help please check the permissions in the specific categories - are you authorised to create events in these?

Code: Select all
Joomla : 2.5.9
component_com_jevents : 3.0.9
component_com_jce : 2.3.2.1
module_mod_jevents_cal : 3.0.9
module_mod_jevents_filter : 3.0.9
module_mod_jevents_latest : 3.0.9
module_mod_jevents_legend : 3.0.9
module_mod_jevents_switchview : 3.0.9
plugin_finder_jevents : 3.0.9
plugin_search_eventsearch : 3.0.9

As can see, I did the upgrade (did not remove the old version), but I get new errors.
Control panel says: "Calendars not setup properly.
You must have at least one published native calendar which is marked as the default calendar. It must also have a valid category association.
Click on 'Manage Calendars' to correct this."
I checked it and there is in fact a calendar as default.
When I tried to make en new event: I get this error:
403 - Er deed zich een fout voor (an error occured).
You are not authorised to view this resource/perform this task.
I checked the permissions and that looks OK for me. I'm operating as super user on the backend (on localhost).

Hello Peter,

Are you sure Authorised User mode is set to off in JEvents Configuration?

Hello Tonyp

Yes I'm sure; Enable User Authorisation is set to NO and super user can do all the actions (create, edit, delete, ...). I reinstalled JEvents (after deleted it completely) and on the control panel I still get the message that "Calendars are not set properly" while there is a default agenda. Even making a new agenda en setting it as default makes no difference.
I'm a bit in despair now...

Is the calendar you set up published and public access?

Please edit and re-save each of the categories you have created too

Hello Geraint

Problem solved! The calendar was published but had not public access. I did that because for the events only registered users can make reservations.
How do I realise that? On event level?
Thanks for your support!
