I have Joomla 2.5.9 with JEvents 2.2.8 installed.

I want all registered users to be able to add events in the front end.

I can add events in the back-end.

At present the configuration is set to:

Enable User Authorisation: No
Publish Own?: Yes

All group specific permissions are set to 'inherited', so registered users have calculated permissions of not allowed.

If I set registered users to allowed for Create Events, I get a blank screen if I try to add an event in the backend as a superuser. The same happens if I try to add an event or edit in the front end.

Anybody any ideas?

Hello,

You will likely get a blank screen as a Super User, as it is loading a very long list of every user allowed to create events. As Super users are able to select who created the event on creation.

A way around this would be to increase you PHP Memory limit.

Thanks for that.

I have 12,500 users

At the moment it's set to 48M, any suggestions as to a new setting?

Yep, that will be the issue.

I would suggest:

1. Purge all none confirmed accounts older than 2 months.

2. Increase to 128M if your server/resources allow it.
