Well firstly you have some clashing issues:

Code: Select all
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token {
3mootools.js:1Uncaught TypeError: Object #<Object> has no method 'upgradeLog'

displayed in firebugs error console, the unexpected token normally means you have some thing clashing? so look into that.

The css is perfect in i.e. but not so much in chrome.

Like carcam said, with your template you have td defined like:

td[width=14%] {
width: 14%;
}

It looks like you have hard coded it? rather than adjusting the css acordingly?

Please note, it is not so easy trying to use the JEvents monthly view as a varible width it needs to be fixed due to the complexity of the layout you can't get it precise enough with a varible width. Hence why we have not varible themes.

What is it you are trying to achive exactly?

I'll take a look at the error console ... that did not occur to me. I'll also play around with the template CSS 14% ... though I still can't figure out why the test site works fine.

Anyway, my goal using the monthly is to have a fixed width for all months.

I guess one last ditch effort is to wait out February. Once March comes along, I can readjust the month widths and the remaining months should be good - not the best solution, but it might be less effort. Once I get off this template (and it's not that easy when the site is associated with non-profits), then I can be sure we get a compatible template.

Thank you!!

You will find that most templates need some customising.

Also, I am very interested as to why your site is forcing 14% into the template td's(almost looks like it is hard coded.

Can you also try using a different jevents layout? i.e. ext?

The template is from Thenza's free template download. I customized it, but didn't touch the 14% td sections. So, I am not sure why they had it as such. Perhaps it was to esnure their thmes worked accordingly?

I have tried different JEvent layouts and they all behave he same way.

I'll see if changinf the 14% to 100% is effective. Although I would need to retest the res of the site.

I really appreciate the guidance!
