SOLVED -Insert jevents event date into regular joomla articl

JEvents 2.0 was launched over 2 years ago and the latest stable version is version 2.2 which will run on Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. JEvents 1.5 is therefore no longer actively supported - you should upgrade to JEvents 2.2+ as soon as possible.

Hi there
Currently loving jevents, but as the title suggests, I want to know if there's a module or something that would allow me to insert a date into a fairly static article page in the WYSIWYG / html editor... something like..
{jevents getdate ID=eventXXXX}
...to insert a plain text value say "Nov 25 2010" into my paragraph.
Thanks!

No but there is a club content plugin that allows you to create a link to an event in your article. It would show the event title as a link.

Where is the club plugin that allows you to create a link to an event in an article? I've been scouring the site and searching the forums, and have yet to find it. What am I missing??? Thanks!

You could use "Article/Event linkage content plugin" from http://www.jevents.net/en/downloads/cat ... icle-links

Use is as follows:
Code: Select all
{jevent=808110|_self|0}
where

repeat id=808110,
_self=opening in current browser window.
The third argument is 0=link to event detail, 1=redirect to event detail page.

Hello

Just installed the "Article/Event linkage content plugin" v1.1.1 and tried to get it work, but I have some problems to find the "rp_id".
I am using Joomla 2.5.1 and JEvents 2.1.8.
I looked to the Forum, the Videos and Google but didn't get an solution.
In the downloadsection you tell:
Code: Select all
{jevent=rp_id|_blank|0|1|1}

arguments in turn:
rp_id = the repeat id for the event repeat (you get this from the main event detail URLs)

But my URL looks like:
Code: Select all
http://www.mydomain.de/index.php/kalender/icalrepeat.detail/2012/02/09/7/-/testevent

Where is the "rp_id"?

Second question:
Is there a plugin available that places a calendar button to the article editor? Just clicking on it, choose the event from an list/calendar and it puts the right code to the article.
If not, would that be programmed in the future?

Thanks

7 is the repeat id. the format is: icalrepeat.detail/year/month/day/rp_id/catids/title

I have wondered about adding this sort of button but its not straightforward to implement so its always been down the todo list :(

Hi Geraint

Thank you very much for your answer. Works very good.
If I click on the link, the event does not open as a pop up like it does by clicking on the event in the calendar.

It would be great, if there will be this kind of button. What I am thinking of is a button like the Phoca Gallery Button http://www.phoca.cz/phocagallery-button.

Best Regards

Do you have the plugin installed that opens event detail pages in popups?
