JEvents 1.5 (No longer actively supported)

Multiple Categories - Display Options

JEvents 2.0 was launched over 2 years ago and the latest stable version is version 2.2 which will run on Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. JEvents 1.5 is therefore no longer actively supported - you should upgrade to JEvents 2.2+ as soon as possible.

I will be rolling out JEvents later this week. But the question and/or request I have is a way to support in the calendar a LARGE number of categories. I am rolling it out for a Synagogue, with the intent to have close to a dozen different categories. They may not fit easily under the calendar. Is there a way to efficiently display up to a dozen categories for selection purposes.

Also ... when I call the calendar from a Menu Item, I would like to know the syntax for a calendar call, the parameters to pass that set it to a particular category.

Thanks.

For the menu item you have component parameters available to you to specify the categories.

For the "legend" at the bottom of the calendar you could either have 2-3 calendars each with a subset of categories or use a stylesheet to reorganise this possibly?
