JEvents 1.5 (No longer actively supported)

Unable to edit text or save new event

JEvents 2.0 was launched over 2 years ago and the latest stable version is version 2.2 which will run on Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. JEvents 1.5 is therefore no longer actively supported - you should upgrade to JEvents 2.2+ as soon as possible.

I currently have JEvents 1.5.5 and while using Firefox, I'm unable to type in the Jevent text box. There is no cursor for me. When I use Internet Explorer, I'm able to type, but I can't click save or exit. This problem just recently started. I used to be able to edit events using both internet browsers.

Hello,
this problem was occurred with firefox 9 and solved by installing firefox 10. After this I had no problems anymore with the effect of no editing and saving new events.

Hello,

You might want to make sure the Mootools plugin is enabled, installing the new browser is more than likely just a work around and not a fix.

The editor plugin is enabled but the system - mootools upgrade is not enabled. Could this fix the problem?

Firstly upgrade joomla to 1.5.25.

Also upgrade JCE to the latest current version iirc 2.0.16?.

And enabled the mootools plugin, this should solve the issue. Should you still be experiencing the issue you can go to: JEvents Config, in the Editing Events tab, make sure One Tab Editing is set to yes.

I installed JCE 2.0.20 but now I'm not seeing my editing buttons and my paragraphs are shown with HTML code. How do I get the standard look of my old editor back?
