Hi Sir,

Just find that the Year.ListView is not function well.
In my configuration tab of Year/Categories View, I have chosen "No of Events" -> ALL.
But I found that a event can't show in April (only show 2 events in April) but it can disappear in Calendar or "List of Week".
Other months work ok and display more than 2 events.

Any ideas?

Sammy

Hi Sir,

Try hard to tune the setting and config but not help.

But I have an interesting findings to share -

[attachment=0:im158hyg]<!-- ia0 -->Capture.PNG<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:im158hyg]

When I publish a new event in 3/2016, the disapper events in Year ListView appear again.
(i.e. I have insert a empty event at 16/3 and my disappear event 15/4 appear again)
The problem only happen in Year ListView. The calender view work ok all the time.

Any suggestion I can do ?

Thanks!

Hello Sammy,

Firstly please update to Joomla! 3.4.8 and JEvents 3.4.4.

The above screenshot isn't one of our layouts? Or if it is it is heavily customised.

Can you try using one of our default layouts does the issue still persist?

Many thanks
Tony

Hi Tony,

Thanks for your prompt reply. The layout is customized under flat layouts to add the php code for 3-month listing. Just wonder my code will affect the list.view.

I have planned to update JEvents to 3.4.3. Any preparation need or fail-back procedure? As my website is live and can't stop. Please advise.

Thanks!

Hi Sammy,

1. You should do a trial run in a dev site, so clone your site to a sub directory and then try the update.

2. So it could be your custom php code causing the issue. Try an alternative layout add:

?jEV=default

or

&jEV=default

depending on the url structure to change it. Does it work now?

Thanks
Tony

Thanks Tony. I will try to build the dev site first.

Just a quick questions for upgrade to JEvents 3.4.4. I am new on upgrade
1. Will it overwrite my custom layout build on flat layout?
2. Will it affect the display of the exisitng events ?
3, Do I need to backup the SQL db too?

Thanks!

Thanks Tony. I will try to build the dev site first.

Just a quick questions for upgrade to JEvents 3.4.4. I am new on upgrade
1. Will it overwrite my custom layout build on flat layout?

If you did your customizations directly on JEvents core files it will. If you created an override and did your customizations there, it will not. We always encourage users to create overrides of their files, so if you had not, it might be a good opportunity to start ;):

2. Will it affect the display of the exisitng events ?

Event data and custom layouts will not be affected. Only direct changes in the core files will be removed with the update

3, Do I need to backup the SQL db too?

Strictly speaking you do not need to do it, but we strongly recommend you take a full backup of your site to avoid possible issues due to customizations or incompatibilities with other extensions or even your server. So please, take a full backup before any change ;)
