I just downloaded the ics file and see the correct timezone on the events.

Is there a specific event I should look at that is incorrect?

If I have imported the JEvent calendar into Google Calendar, it will also be displayed correctly with the time.




But in the Google settings, all appointments are displayed with an incorrect time zone, which I can’t change either because it is gray masked.




Enclosed is a picture of the cell phone, where the time is then set to GMT +0
As a result, if the appointment is at 7.30pm and the notification is set to "90 minutes before", you will be reminded at 4.30pm. The set reminder does not match the actual appointment because we are missing the one hour. I also cannot change the time in the Google Calendar because it is given to me in this way. Read-only.




The calendar is made available to all members of the fire brigade. Only 5 members currently have it for testing. Later, all 100 members should be able to use it.

Daylight savings time

Google Calendar uses Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) to help avoid issues with daylight savings time.

When events are created, they're converted into UTC, but you'll always see them in your local time.

If an area switches their time zone, events created before we knew about the change might be in the wrong time zone.

Can you create a new calendar on your computer in Google and add an event then export it as an iCal file so we can see what google uses for the timezone settings? Its difficult for me to test this since all my calendars are in London timezone which currently is the same as UTC.

This event was imported from JEvents - what does it look like if you create the event directly in Google?

Do you get the same reminder time error in a computer calendar app as opposed to on a phone?

the problem with the time zone is also shown to me on the PC.
If I create the event directly in the Google calendar, there are no problems.

I once imported the JEvents calendar directly into the Google Calendar using an ics file. After that I have no problems and everything is displayed in the correct time zone, just the way I want it to be. However, if changes are made in the JEvents calendar, the calendars on the mobile phone are not updated automatically. But only when I manually download the file again and manually enter it into Google. I am unsatisfied with this variant.

If I automatically add the calendar to Google, GMT + 00: 00 comes again.
So the mistake with the automatic import from Google must be.
With this variant, however, the Google calendar automatically updates all changes that I have made in the JEvents calendar on the homepage. I find that particularly good. So all comrades are always up to date.

I'm having the same exact issue with Google Calendar. When I import the iCal URL from JEvents, Google Calendar always alters the time zone of the events so they display as (GMT+00:00) Coordinated Universal Time.

There is no way to alter the Time Zone within Google Calendar for the imported JEvents calendar; the time zone edit function is grayed out.

The correction is going to have to be JEvents in how the export the iCal file.

What timezone settings have you set in JEvents? Bottom of first tab and on the ical import/export tabs

In the configuration section of JEvents, looking at the first (BASIC) tab, I have the timezone setting as American/Chicago.

If I add the calendar to Microsoft Outlook on my desktop computer, using the generated iCal export code from my JEvents calendar, the times show up correctly within Outlook. Google Calendar, on the other hand, does not. The Google Calendar version of the imported JEvents iCal code displays all of the calendar times in (GMT+00:00) Coordinated Universal Time.

Is it possible to attach the ics file you are using or even better a URL to the export
