Some custom layouts errors - Call to a member function loadArray() on null

Hi,

I've recently upgraded to Joomla! 4 (4.4.2) and I noticed that most of the JEvents custom layouts are throwing this error (with debug on)
Call to a member function loadArray() on null

The layouts for 'icalevent.detail_body' and 'module.latest_event' continue to work, but the rest all show the same error when I try to open them in the editor.

Any ideas on how to fix?

Which editor do you use?

Hi,

I use JCE Editor (Core/free), but I also see the error if I change to Code Mirror and Tiny MCE in Global Config.

Did you disable the 'editor - none' editor plugin? We use this to edit some layouts because most WYSIWYG editors cut out key parts of the HTML when the edited layout is saved

The next release will catch this situation.

Yes! I disabled the 'Editor - None' plugin because some of the editors were getting a bit "creative".

Thanks for finding that. I can temporarily enable/disable the plugin for the time-being to workaround it.

You could set the access level higher on the plugin so only 'safe' users would have access
