Hi,
I'm looking for a solution to integrate an event calendar on my website including user registration. Globally I want to be able to show a list of the incoming event on a joomla article and have an easy registration link to it.
I see "Simple Events Registration" that seems to be doing what I need but have a few questions :
- Will I be able to format the list of events (using css or an editor) in order to have it match my website's template ?
- Is there a way using "Simple Events Registration" to limit the number of seats for an event ?
- Can I simply add my next events on any Joomla article or does it only work inside a module ?
- Is there a way to book multiple seats on an event ? Typically if I want to create an event for a dinner and want to allow people to register their whole family, they should be able to indicate how many persons they want to register.
- If I later decide to organize paid event, can I easily move to RSVP Pro without redoing everything or is it a completely separated module ?

The Simple Events Registration is very basic and only allows recording attendance/non-attendance with no limits, constraints, guest tickets etc.
It sounds as though you will need RSVP Pro do to what you want. This allows constraints on numbers, custom fields, guest tabs, conditional fields, invitations and reminders for free or paid events.
JEvents allows you to customise the layout of event details, calendar, list views etc. using a layout editor - we also offer various responsive club themes which are far more more attractive than the basic one provided with the free version of JEvents.
We have an upcoming events module with a LOT of configuration options, there are club addons to link events with articles and categories so you can show matching upcoming events on your article pages etc.
I suggest you take out a gold membership and try out the functionality (asking any questions you want in the member forums of course!) and it its not what you need you can request a refund,
