We're getting ready to begin a project for a client that will likely contain some enhancements to the JEvents component. We were wondering if you all would be willing to incorporate our changes into the core component code, and if this is a possibility, whether there's anything we should know in advance that would make integration of our changes more likely?

We're not certain what we'll need to do, since we still need to install the latest version to see what changes have already been made, but I thought I'd get the conversation started.

Thank You,

JEvents has a sophisticated plugin architecture and layout customisation possibilities so 95% of customisations can be done without touching the core code.

The club addons allow the creation of custom fields, event tags, integration with JomSocial/CB etc, as well as event registration. The plugin architecture allows you to filter events in all sorts of ways by directly interacting with the database queries.

Probably the best place to start is to scan the features (summarised briefly on the frontpage), join as a silver member and see what you can accomplish with the club addons. Other features could be implemented as plugins - if you need other customisations then I'd be happy to discuss if these changes should be incorporated in the core of JEvents.

JEvents Club members can get priority forum support at the Support Forum. As well as access to a variety of custom JEvents addons and benefits. Join the JEvents club today!
