Dear Forum

here: https://pdh.ch/index.php/de/agenda I have implemented a JEvents List with the option to enroll via a ChronoForms form. This works fine since years.
But now, there will be two more, separate sites which should display the same JEvents List with the same option to enroll. But of course, I don't want the client to update three times the JEvents. So I would like to keep the existing one as basis and to mirror it on the other sites.

Seems like there were several similar requests in this forum. The solution seems to be using a cronjob in order to update the mirrored JEvents on the other sites.

But: I am definitively not able to generate this cronjob. No clue. Where can I find somebody for this job, as this person should know about Joomla and JEvents ..?

Thanks for any hint,
Martin
You can export your events via iCal and import into the 'child' sites to show the same events on multiple sites. Not sure how your chronoforms will work this this though

Another approach is to show the events from the 'parent' site onto the 'child' sites via our remote module loader i.e. you show the same latest events module on all your sites but the links take you back to the parent site to register.

Hi Geraint,

thank you for your reply; But this:
You can export your events via iCal and import into the 'child' sites to show the same events on multiple sites.
would have to be done manually, each time when new events are added. That's not quite what will work, as we have different webmasters for these sites. There should be a routine.
So I'll give a try to your second input; even though, I've read in the JCE forum that the remote module didn't work for this task. But maybe, in the meantime, it works

Thanks again,
Martin

If you use the iCal export/import mechanism you would need a 'cronjob' to automatically keep the child sites up to date when new events are added to the parent site

Hi Geraint,
this was my initial request

But as I wrote above, I tried the Remote Module. This works fine. Thanks!
