Hi there

If I am interpreting your site correctly, RSVP Pro has the ability to generate unique QR codes which are sent to registrants on their tickets, and these can be used to check-in attendees at the door.

Is that correct? I am unable to find this on your demo site.

I'd also like to know how the check-in process works - is there a smartphone app that integrates with RSVP Pro? Or...?

Thanks so much.
Hello,

We haven't added that functionality to our demo yet, sorry.

It basically produces a QR Barcode on the ticket and then when the person arrives you can scan it with your scanning device to confirm their arrival and ticket authenticity.

We do offer a 30 day money back if your find RSVP Pro does not suit your needs.

Many thanks
Tony

The demo doesn't show this feature in action - but there is a screenshot on the demo tab of the product page at http://www.jevents.net/products-new/addons/rsvp-pro

There is no need for a special app - your event organiser would login on their smartphone to your site using their browser and simply use a regular QR scanning app to open the appropriate webpage.

Hi and thanks for your prompt replies.

So, after scanning with a QR code reader... what webpage would the event organizer be sent to? And then, is the visitor checked in automatically, or is there a next step?

Also, is there a way of checking in visitors manually - searching by name, etc?

Thanks so much.

If you are logged in with the correct authorisation they would be automatically checked in and you would get a confirmation message. There is also a manual checking in process from the list of attendees where you can search by name.

OK great, thank you.

May I just confirm that it is also possible to send (i) the QR code and (ii) pdf tickets in the confirmation email?

I can't for the life of me figure out how to do this in the demo.

Yes - the screenshot in the product page is of a ticket is sent as a link in the confirmation email. The next release of RSVP Pro (out later today) includes the option to include these tickets as a PDF attatchment in the confirmation email message.

Sorry to highjack this thread but my question is related so best to keep together in the same thread.

What happens if someone other than the event creator scans the QR code? The attendee for example?

Is it possible to have more than one person, each with their own scanning device, to be scanning tickets? I imagine a very large event with 100s of people trying to check in.

Thanks.

The QR code is only effective when scanned by a user logged in as the event creator OR another event editor. So you would be able to have multiple people scanning tickets.

I would recommend you do some testing to see how it works.

Sorry to hijack the thread

I bought the product not thinking how it works properly.
I could have an event creator create an event
Can and how do I make event editors/managers and would they only be able to manage that particular event only? Or do they become editors/managers for every event like a joomla user group?
How does this work?

So they would be able to have multiple people scanning tickets that only work for that particular event.
Would I see each of the editors/managers tickets they scanned in a logged in dashboard somehow?
There is also a manual checking in process from the list of attendees where you can search by name? where is this?

I need each event to have its own editors/managers.

Like If I was a Community Builder profile I can set my selected editors/managers in connections to a setting I made editors/managers. That would be an easy fix

Thanks

Hi Matthew

You can set access levels and permissions on a category specific basis so if you organise your events into appropriate categories you can grant the permissions you want accordingly
