Hello,

I'm running JEvents 3.4.5 in Joomla 3.9.10, with PHP 7.0. I have the permissions set up so that the public can submit events through the front end at https://www.cdss.org/community/events-calendar/icalevent_edit/

However, when public users fill in the event details and click Save & Close, nothing happens. There's no error message (even with Joomla error reporting set to Maximum), and the browser doesn't show a white screen - it just stays on the event creation page and does nothing. The events are not saved in the back end.

I believe that this problem started when I updated Joomla to version 3.9.9, but I'm not completely sure. It's only been in the last few days that users have been reporting the problem. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks very much -
Anne
Hello,

Can you try now? JCE had the option Compress Javascript enabled. When there is no editor being loaded on the frontend it spits a Javascript error message :-(. I've disabled this and it's working now.

Many thanks

You are very welcome! If you get a minute you could raise this as an issue with JCE. We haven't been able to recreate it from scratch so needs to be on a site it happens on.

Many thanks
