navigation does not work on new dashboard

I just updated to v3.6.2 and the new dashboard is not letting me navigate. I can get to Manage Events by the Joomla Component Jevent drop-down but when I try to edit I can't navigate from the Calendar to Common tabs. I reinstalled it from a direct download after using the update option in Joomla, but still the same issue. Help please.

Did you clear your browsers cache? (IT shouldn't be needed)
Can you confirm your browser in use?
Can you screenshot your issue?

I cleared my browser cache and I tried this on both Firefox and Chrome. I am attaching 2 screen shots.It hardly shows the issue because it is doesn't do anything when I click on either Manage Events or switch from common tab to calendar tab.

I updated to the v 3.6.3 and I can now navigate between the common and calendar tabs, but the sidebar nav still does not work. Why am I not seeing anything about this new release on your website? I only see references to version 3.4 as the latest stable version, yet the Joomla updater updated to 3.6.3.
