Hello,

will there be a version compatible with Joomla 4, and if so, which release date is announced?

Thanks

Harry
Hello Harry,

We already have a release ready for Joomla! 4.0 and it's just in beta, we are planning to launch in the coming weeks.

Many thanks

Hello Tony,

thanks, that are great news! I was planning a new website and considered to start directly with a Joomla 4 release (despite this is not in a usable state so far). So if a JEvents release for Joomla 4 would be available as soon as Joomla 4 reaches release state, this would be fantastic.

Yep it certainly will be and we have a full new backend UI too!

Excited for your new project, do let us know how you get on. We will do a release likely early next week for testing.

Many thanks
Tony

Thank you Tony. We also use jDownloads. Do you have the version for Joomla 4.0?

Hey Steve.

I'm afraid we don't use jDownloads.

Many thanks

Hello,

The event editing in the native template is working in the latest version.

I suspect it's down to your template. I'll reply in your post harry500

Many thanks

It is over a year now since the issue of editing an event in the frontend was stated that this does not work in Joomla 4. I need this functionality in my site, so am faced with having to use a different package, with all the overhead this entails. Is this likely to be fixed any time soon, as I have tried everything to get this working, but just cannot get the editing icon on my event page.
Can anyone help?

Frontend editing works perfectly in the frontend of Joomla 4 - if you are having problems it could be down to CSS or javascript on your specific site. Please provide more details of your problem including screenshots ideally

I am having a similar issue on my Joomla 4.3.1/PHP 8.1 site running JEvents 3.6.53. The "+" icons do not appear even for super admins, so no events can be created. The template is Gantry 5 Hydrogen 5.5.16. Hydrogen has been installed on this site for years since around Joomla 3.2 without issues. There are no other CSS issues with this site.

Can you give is the URL and login details on the private site details tab below - the issue is almost certainly down to CSS

Where can I find the version for Joomla 4?

Here:
https://www.jevents.net/download-area/jevents/441-download-jevents
I can only find version 3.6.68 and it doesn't seem to be compatible.

Thanks and best regards
Thorsten
